New Restaurant Menu at Lokanta
We have launched our updated design restaurant menu at Lokanta this month. As we approach our tenth anniversary at the end of the year we have gone for a new design with some beautiful illustrations from graphic designer Josie Walker.
Eat Meze Style or A La Carte
Our menu has taken the same shape since we opened in 2009. We have always had our dishes listed on a double sided A3 sheet. This was born of necessity when we first opened and were assembling the menu ourselves without design help and wanted something we could print at home. We were finding our way with a format that we hoped would work to offer either full meze dining or single meze starters followed by substantial main courses. The format has stuck and we have had a few re-designs over the years. The most recent was monochrome and we latterly felt possibly the most difficult to navigate. This time we have re-introduced colour along with illustrations and we hope that choosing will be easier.
Set Menus Always Available
On the subject of choice we know that sometimes it is easier to have a set option. Eating out is always about good food but company and conversation are just as important. A quick choice while you relax with friends and family can make things easier and a set price works well when it comes to the bill. We have always done set offer menus and Christmas Meze Banquets. We have now added three set menus to the main menu which will be available all the time. You choose from Vegetarian, Meat or Seafood and we will bring our selection as listed at the bottom of the second page,
Summer Holiday Closure 25 August - 9 September
We are a family run business with a small staff. People are at the heart of any restaurant both in the kitchen and front of house. This year in order to take holidays without reducing the team we have decided to close for a fortnight from Sunday 25th August to Monday 9th September inclusive. We will be open as usual on Saturday 24th August and then reopen on Tuesday 10th September. We apologise for any inconvenience caused by this closure and thank all our customers for their continued support.
